User Setup Overview
As the Admin of your Salesforce Org, you may be responsible for adding new users or modifying user settings. This section provides guidance on key tasks for managing users in Salesforce.
Key Actions and Terms
Create a Salesforce User
In Salesforce Setup, search for Users using the quick find bar.
Click New User and assign the appropriate Salesforce User License and Profile.
The user will receive an automated email to set up their password. Inform them to check their spam folder if the email does not appear in their inbox.
Permission Sets
Permission Sets define access levels for various areas of your system. GoldFinch comes with standard Permission Sets that should be assigned to users based on their roles.
You can also create custom Permission Sets for more specific access control.
GoldFinch License Management
To grant users access to GoldFinch, assign one of your available licenses.
In Setup, search for Installed Packages in the quick find bar, then click Manage Licenses next to the GoldFinch Package.
Resetting Passwords
To reset a user's password, go to Setup, navigate to the user record, and click Reset Password.
The user will receive an automated email with a reset link, and they should check their spam folder if necessary.
User Setup
In the App Launcher, search for User Setup and click View All records.
Here, you can create user-specific records and assign special GoldFinch permissions to users as needed.
