User Setup Overview

If you are the Admin of your Salesforce Org, you may be tasked with adding new users or modifying a particular user's settings. This section will give you some guidance.

Create a Salesforce User

From the Salesforce Setup, search for Users in the quick find.  Here you can create a new user - be sure to assign the correct Salesforce User License and Profile.  The user will receive an automated email to finish setting up their password.  Depending on your email configuration, these automated emails are sometimes sent to the spam folder, so be sure to tell your users to look for it. 

Permission Sets

Permission Sets are groups of access for all areas of your system.  GoldFinch comes with standard Permission Sets that should be assigned to each user based on their role in your company.  You can also create your own permission sets.

GoldFinch License Management

To give users access to GoldFinch, you will need to assign them one of your available licenses.  From Setup, search for Installed Packages in the Quick Find.  You should see a "Manage Licenses" link next to the GoldFinch Package.  

Resetting Passwords

From Setup, navigate to the user record and click the "Reset Password" button.  The user will receive an automated email to reset their own password. Depending on your email configuration, these automated emails are sometimes sent to the spam folder, so be sure to tell your users to look for it. 

User Setup 

From the App Launcher, pull up User Setup and View All records.  Here you can create user specific records and assign special GoldFinch Permissions.
