Create Item SKUs

Overview

Stockkeeping Units are used to calculate supply plans by Warehouse and by Item. 

Create Item SKU

Go to the Administration app → Inventory menu → click on the Create Item SKU routine. GoldFinch will create new SKUs for Items and Warehouses with the following conditions:

• Blocked is unchecked

• Warehouses with the Enabled Demand Forecasting field checked

• Warehouses with the Use As In-Transit field unchecked

After clicking the Create Item SKU button, you will receive a success message as shown in the image below. 

Create Item SKU routine can be scheduled to run at nighttime. The name of the Apex Class is CreateItemSKUBatch.

Viewing and Editing SKUs

SKUs can be viewed and edited from within the item card or by opening the App Launcher and scrolling down to the stock-keeping units tab. After the SKU has been created, you can update the planning parameters on the SKU if needed for a specific warehouse.
