Setup Items for Outside Service Process

Overview

There are a few types of items that need to be set up properly before you can go through the Outside Service Process.

The following types of items must be set up:

  • Raw Materials

  • Finished Goods

  • Outside Service Item

  • Packing Item

Setup Raw Materials, Packing Items, and Finished Goods

Open the App Launcher. Search for Items.

Click on New or Clone an existing item to create a new item.

Create the Raw Material item with the following configurations:

Use the steps above to create items for Packing Items.

Replenishment System

Purchase for Raw Materials and Packing Items, and Work Order for Finished Goods

Standard Base Cost

Enter an average cost per Base Unit of Measure for reporting and for the standard cost roll-up.

Preferred Vendor

Enter the preferred vendor to create new Purchase Orders.

Setup Outside Services Item

Open the App Launcher. Search for Items.

Click on New or Clone an existing item to create a new item.

Create the Outside Service Item with the following configurations:

Cost Method

FIFO

Replenishment System

Purchase

Standard Base Cost

Enter an average cost per Base Unit of Measure for reporting and for the standard cost roll-up.
