Set Up a Co-packer's Warehouse

Overview

When working with a co-packer, you may need to set up a dedicated warehouse to ensure all materials and components are sent to the correct location where the items will be packaged. This dedicated warehouse streamlines the process and ensures accurate inventory management.

Steps to Set Up a Co-Packer’s Warehouse

Open the App Launcher and search for Warehouses.

• Click on an existing warehouse that is most similar to the one you need to create.

• Click on the Clone button.

  • Note: Cloning an existing warehouse is recommended, as it retains the pre-configured fields, saving time and reducing errors.

Name the Warehouse:

• Name the warehouse based on the Packaging Vendor you will use. This helps identify that the warehouse is dedicated to the co-packer, and will be used to store the goods that need to be packaged.

Modify the Warehouse Settings:

• For the co-packer’s warehouse, you should use one pick bin for all bin fields (except the Cross Dock field). This simplifies warehouse management.

By setting up a Co-Packer’s Warehouse, you ensure that all materials and components are sent to the correct location for packaging, and you simplify warehouse management by using consistent bin settings. This approach ensures efficient handling of goods during the co-packing process.
