Setting up Units of Measure for Manufacturing
Units of Measure
Units of Measure represent a unit in which your items can be represented - such as a Pound, an Each, a 50LB/Case, etc.

Item Units of Measure
Item Units of Measure are where we define the Units of Measure used for a particular item.
For Standard Manufactured Items, this is likely to be a Packing Unit of Measure, such as a Case or an Each.
When dealing with Batch Manufactured Items, the Unit of Measure must be a Batch Unit. Read Setting up Units of Measure for Batch Manufacturing for more information.
Field Name | Explanation |
|---|---|
Item | The item that you are defining measurement for. |
Unit of Measure | The unit of measure you want to use on that item. |
Conversion | The number of Base Unit of Measures within one of these. |
Create Item Units of Measure
You can create new Item Units of Measure for any Item by navigating to the item and clicking the New button at the top of the Item Units of Measure section.
You may also open the App Launcher and search for Item Units of Measure. Click on New to create a new Item UOM.
