Sales Forecast Summaries

The Sales Forecast Summary provides a way to summarize forecasts by different summary types depending on how you would like to view the forecast. 

There can be many sales forecasts created by using different criteria. Useful views may be grouped by: 

• Warehouse

• Sell-to Customer

• Alternate Shipping

• Item Category

• Starting Date/Ending Date

Summary Parameters

Open the App Launcher. Search for Sales Forecast Summary.

Create a New Summary.

Name the Sales Forecast Summary by Summary type: (i.g. Summary by Item Category).

The Sales Forecast Summary provides a way to summarize forecasts by different summary types. Use the eight possible level summary types to organize the order and drill down on your view. 

• Customer Channel (on Account)

• Customer

• Alternate Shipping

• Warehouse

• Item Category

• Product Family (on Item)

• Product Group (on Item, depending on Product Family)

• Item

Define the optional Filter values for each Summary Type in the filter values section.  Blank fields will retrieve all options. 

Display Summary

The Display Summary shows forecast values based on the organizational structure set up on the Sales Summary Forecast page. You can still Edit Summary Types and Filters on the Sales Summary Forecast page.

Navigate to the Display Summary button through the right drop-down menu on Sales Summary Forecast. 

Expand All and Collapse All to drill down on the view through all summary types or filters.

Click on the forecast numbers to open a new tab to see detailed forecast lines for the period.
