Item Usage

Overview

Item Usage provides a summarized view of item transactions, organized by the Inventory Period Type (either By Month or By Week) as defined in the Demand Planning Setup.

  • Automatic Updates: Item Usage records are automatically updated based on posted Item Ledger Entries when the Supply Plan Daily Routine is run.

  • Historical Data Import: You can import historical Item Usage records before going live with GoldFinch ERP. This allows you to establish sufficient history for more accurate future forecasting.

  • Item Usage Adjustments:
    You can create Item Usage Adjustment entries to account for abnormal sales activities or to exclude specific transactions from demand forecasting. This helps in refining the accuracy of your forecasts. 

By maintaining a comprehensive view of item usage over time, you can improve demand forecasting and inventory management in your supply planning process.
