Explanations

Qty on Hand

Shows the current quantity on hand.  (Both Safety Stock and Max fields are from the Item record.)

(+) Qty. on Purchase Orders

Shows the outstanding quantity from purchase orders.  The expected receipt dates on the purchase lines are used to place the quantities into each date bucket.

(+)Qty. on Work Orders

Shows the quantity from open work orders.  The ending dates on the work orders are used to place the quantities into each date bucket.

(-)Qty. Forecasted

Shows the quantity from an active Sales Forecast.  The forecast dates are used to place the quantities into each date bucket.

(-) Qty. on Sales Orders

Shows the outstanding quantity from sales orders.  The shipment dates are used to place the quantities into each date bucket.

(+) Qty. on Forecast Consumption

In order not to double count the forecasted qty in the report total, GoldFinch will examine the quantity forecasted along with the total quantity from sales orders (not just outstanding quantity).  If both of these have a value, the "Qty. on Forecast Consumption" will show the lower value of the two.  This will then be added into the calculation to generate the Qty. Available.  Read Forecast Consumption to learn more.

(-) Qty on Component Work Lines

Shows the quantity on the component lines from open work orders.  The due dates on the work order lines are used to place the quantities into each date bucket.

Qty Available

Reflects the total quantity available for the time frame after all the above additions and subtractions have been made to the quantity on hand.
