Import Whse Activities

Overview

The GoldFinch Import Whse. Activities routine is used to import Whse Activity (Breakbulk, Movement) into GoldFinch.  

Prepare Import Whse Activity Template

Depending on the type of transaction you will be performing (Breakbulk or Movement), populate the corresponding template with your data to be imported.  The mandatory fields to be populated to create a record are highlighted in red.  There is sample data in the templates for you to use as a guide.

Save the file as a CSV.

Import Whse Activity Template

1. Open the App Launcher.  Search for Import Whse Activity.

   

2. Select the Import CSV button.

3. Select Choose File then browse to select the file to be imported.

4. Select Upload File

The function will bring the data into the Import Inventory object.  

Process Records

Once the information has been imported, you can view the data before it is processed and the Whse. Activity entry records are created.

• Select the Create Breakbulk or the Create Movement button to process the data. 

You can either select the individual record(s) you want to import or if you don't select any records, GoldFinch will process all the records where Processed is NOT checked.  

After the Whse. Activity entries have been successfully created, the Processed field will be checked.  

Error Resolution

If there are any errors, the Breakbulk/Movement will not be created until the errors have been resolved.

You will see the reason for the error in the Error Text field.

Edit the information in the Import Whse Activity record to resolve the error.

Once all errors have been resolved, create the Breakbulk or Movement.

Post the Whse Activity

Once all errors have been resolved, a Whse. Activity will be created that will need to be posted.  

Review the Whse Activity then Post the as normal.

Mass Delete

The Import Whse Activities function has a feature to Mass Delete data.  This feature is useful if you import data then before you create the Whse. Activities, you want to delete the records.

• Select the Mass Delete button to delete the data. 

You can either select the individual record(s) you want to delete or if you don't select any records, GoldFinch will delete all the records where Processed is NOT checked.  

• If you would like to delete all records in the table, use the Developer's Console.
