Import Transfer Journals

Overview

This feature will allow you to import Transfer Journals into GoldFinch. The import tool will create a Transfer Journal for each set of "From Warehouse + To Warehouse". For background information on Transfer Journals, see Inventory Transfer.

CSV Template

Populate the template with the Transfer Journals data that will be imported. The template has prefilled sample data for you to use as a guide.

Save the file as a CSV.

Import Transfer Journal CSV

Open the App Launcher. Select Import Transfer Journals.
From any view other than Recently Viewed, select the Import Transfer CSV button.

Click Choose File then browse to select the file to be imported.
Click Upload File.

The function will bring the data into the Import Item Journal object.

Create Transfer Journals

The imported CSV data can be reviewed and edited in the Import Item Journals page layout prior to creating Transfer Journal records. To create Transfer Journals:

Select any view other than Recently Viewed.
Select all Import Transfer Journal lines that will be processed into a Transfer Journal record. If no records are selected, then all Import Transfer Journal records with an unchecked Processed field will be converted into a Transfer Journal.

Click the Create Transfer button to process the data.

After the Transfer Journal records have been created, the Processed field will be checked.

Error Resolution

If there are any errors, the Transfer Journal will not be created until the errors have been resolved. Refer to the Error Text field for more information. Edit the Import Transfer Journal record to resolve the error. After all errors have been resolved, create the Transfer Journal.

Post the Transfer Journal

Once all errors have been resolved, Transfer Journals will be created. After reviewing it, Post the Transfer Journal. For background information on Transfer Journals, see Inventory Transfer.

Mass Delete

To delete multiple Import Transfer Journal records at the same time:

From any view other than Recently Viewed, select the Mass Delete button to delete the data.
You can either select the individual record(s) you want to delete or if you don't select any records, GoldFinch will delete all the records where Processed is NOT checked.
If you would like to delete all records in the table, use the Developer's Console.
