Configure Formula Versions and Item Formulas for Batch Manufacturing
Formula Versions
Formula Versions are used when you need to control when a formula is active (date-based) or when you use percentages to manage formulas. You can create a different Formula Version for each variation and manage formulas based on specific needs.
Create, view, or edit Formula Versions directly from the Parent Item.
Item Formulas
Item Formulas are the ingredients or components used to create the Parent Item. For each component, an Item Formula is defined, specifying key details like the Unit of Measure and quantity.
Key Fields for Item Formulas:

Formula Unit of Measure Consideration
You can define a Unit of Measure (UOM) for your formula, which is especially important for manufactured items available in multiple UOMs, such as EACH and CASE.
For Batch Manufactured Items, the formula ingredients are based on the Default Batch Unit of Measure specified on the Item card.
Formula Management by Percentage
If the Formula Management is based on Percentage, the total "Per" field values for the formula ingredients must add up to 100%. This ensures that the ingredient quantities are accurately proportioned for batch production.
