Bin Ranking

Used for prioritizing for items with the Lot Picking Option = Bin Ranking.  The higher the number, the higher priority of the bin and that bin will be suggested first when creating Pick Tickets.

Bin Sort

A sequential order for the bins.  It is used on Cycle Counts, Pick Tickets, and Put-away documents to sort bins.

Bin Type

Defines how the bin will be used in the inbound and outbound flow of items.  One bin can have multiple purposes.  Read Bin Type for more information.

Blocked

Checking this field will not allow any transactions to be posted to this bin.

Default Pick

Checking this field defines this bin as the default bin to use when picking inventory.  

Default Put-away

Checking this field defines this bin will be used as the default bin on Put-away documents.

Default QC

Checking this field defines this bin will be used as the default receive bin on a Whse. Receipt for items that require QC. 

Description

Use this field to give detailed information about the Bin.

Do Not Allocate

When this field is checked, GoldFinch will ignore the inventory in this bin during the sales order or transfer order allocation process.

Excluded from Planning

If checked, inventory in the bin will not be included in the Supply Plan calculation as part of the supply.

Frozen for Cycle Count

When this bin is being counted during a cycle count, check this field to insure there will not be any activities posted to this bin.

Last Post Date

The date of the most recent posting to the Bin.

Maximum Cubage

Enter the maximum total cubage of all items in the bin that should not be exceeded.

Maximum Qty.

Enter the maximum total quantity of all items in the bin that should not be exceeded.

Maximum Weight

Enter the maximum total weight of all items in the bin that should not be exceeded.

Minimum Qty.

Enter the minimum total quantity of all items that should be in this bin.

Pick

This field is automatically checked if the Pick field is checked on the Bin Type.  If checked, the bin is permitted to be used on a Pick Ticket.

Put Away

This field is automatically checked if the Put-away field is checked on the Bin Type.  If checked, the bin is permitted to be used on a Put-away document.

Receive

This field is automatically checked if the Receive field is checked on the Bin Type.  If checked, the bin is permitted to be used on a Whse. Receipt.

Ship

This field is automatically checked if the Ship field is checked on the Bin Type.  If checked, the bin is permitted to be used on a Whse. Shipment.

Warehouse

Defined the warehouse this bin belongs to.

Zone

If the warehouse is divide into zones, enter the zone this bin is a part of.  This field is used to group Whse. Activities Lines.
